The reactivity and formation of actinide species in the gas-phase plays a key role in obtaining insights into the role that 5f-electrons play in actinide chemistry. Computational actinide chemistry models and tolls such as NWCHem complement extensive experimental work and can make significant contributions to the fundamental understanding of how 5f-electrons contribute to the chemical and physical behavior of actinide species. We will present recent results of gas-phase  studies on the formation of plutonium complexes and multimeric uranium species.
