Let us reflect back on the last half century of the scientific enterprise and appreciatethe progress made by women and the contributions from women.  Let us then think ahead to what we hope the story will be in another 50 years.  What more would we like to accomplish?  Whatare the impediments to those accomplishments?  How do we advise our daughters and our granddaughters and our students?
