This talk describes studies of collisions of molecules with liquid surfaces, and of related work on ion distributions at these surfaces.  Most of these theory studies are based on Born-Oppenheimer molecular dynamics but in some projects we have used polarizable force fields.  Specific applications include studies of the scattering of CO2 from ionic liquid surfaces, and the distributions of halogen ions at surfaces of water-glycerol mixtures.
