Our group recently presented a microwave synthesis of a family of asymmetrical triazolylidene precursors, and preliminary results of their stereoelectronic effects as ligands to a nickel-catalyzed dehydrogenation of ammonia-borane. In line with our goal to understand the ligand effects of triazolylidenes to the nickel metal center, herein we report preliminary screening results of the amount of hydrogen gas produced by these asymmetrical triazolylidenes in the catalytic reaction.
