The simulated wastewater was treated by magnetic field and photocatalysis coupling technology using the innovative magnetic photocatalyst Fe3O4/TiO2. The decontamination performance and energy consumption were analyzed when the wastewater was treated by photocatalytic technology. The results the experiments indicated that the hightest COD removal efficiency was 83.56% and the highest decolorization efficiency was 88.70% when it was in the optimum process conditions which were magnetic density 70 mT,the dosage of magnetic photocatalyst 1.0 g/L,pH 11 and the lighting time 90 min. And when it achieved the same decolorization efficiency, the energy consumption of magnetic field and photocatalysis coupling technology was reduced 25% more than that of single photocatalysis technology.
