In this work, lignocellulose nanofibrils (LCNF) is used as a reinforcement of polypropylene composites for packaging purposes. The effect of the lignin content on the composite properties is studied by using an unbleached and bleached LCNF from Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) biomass with Kappa numbers of 50 and 18, respectively.  Soy isolate protein is used as a coupling agent between the LCNF and the thermoplastic matrix. The mechanical properties, morphological and structural features of the obtained composites are characterized, and the results are compared between the two different LCNF�s.
