A grass-roots organization in the U.S. that is having a measurable impact in increasing the number and success of women scientists and engineers is COACh (http://coach.uoregon.edu). Since its founding in 1997, it has been creating and advancing programs that provide guidance, training, mentoring and networking opportunities to increase the success of women entering and progressing up the career ladder in science and technology. Recently COACh has been expanding its efforts to women scientists and engineers in developing countries through a series of unique and in-country programs. The primary goal of these programs is to build leadership capacity and research partnerships with women scientists in developing countries in emerging research areas of global interest. This presentation will provide an overview of these international COACh (iCOACh) activities and ways you can get involved in countries that include Cameroon, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Kenya, Gabon, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Thailand, and China.
