Purification-based feedback to fermentation/cell culture (�Fermentation support�) is critical for bioprocess development.  While fermentation broth titers are often easily measured, frequently product quality attributes and the impact of changes to the fermentation process on the product can only be determined by analysis of purified samples.  This type of fermentation support can be time consuming for the purification team and occupy resources needed for purification process development.  However, high throughput techniques can be used to quickly purify fermentation support samples, reducing the burden on the downstream group and providing feedback sooner to the upstream team.  In this work, high throughput chromatography techniques such as ATOLL columns and PhyTips were used to purify samples quickly with only a fraction of the FTEs required for lab scale support.  Additionally, high throughput analytics were also utilized to further increase the efficiency of the fermentation support process.  The entirely high throughput method was shown to have comparable yield and quality to lab scale runs while providing data 50% faster.
