Graphene is a two dimensional, hexagonal lattice and a distinct allotrope of carbon and posess interesting electrical, thermal, magnetic and mechanical properties ('10 Physics Nobel Prize). For large scale production, the cost of production has to be decreases from $60 per sq. inch for graphene in copper substrate to less than $1 in copper substrate in some applications. The operating costs, capital costs are optimized for total minimal cost. Market for nanotechnology products are expected to reach $3 trillion by the year 2015 and $180 million for graphenes by 2018. For economically scalable graphene production the performance of the APFR, annular plug flow reactor for dissociation of methane and formation of graphene deposition on copper foil is discussed. The effectiveness factor is derived assuming Langmuir adsorption, Fick diffusion and damped wave diffusion, quartz tube with 7.5' inner and 8' outer radii, flow rate of ~100 �m/sec at pressures of 60 Pa and temperature of ~ 1000 0 C for methane qnd hydrogen are assumed. Damped wave diffusion effects and Knudsen diffusion effects cannot be ignored. Autocatalytic effects of acetylene decomposition are dicussed. The surface reaction or surface adsorbtion may become rate limiting. The flow profile in annular space is examined and the use of plug flow assumption is validated.
