In order to guarantee an enjoyable and rewarding year The American Chemical Society Chapter at Suffolk University followed its established goals and principles. Our objectives are to 1) host and attend green chemistry events, 2) increase our interactions with other chemists in local sections, 3) interact with K-12 students, 4) promote chemistry, and 5) recruit new members in different areas of study. This year, our chapter achieved most of these goals and we were able to improve in many areas. The chapter participated in many events during National Chemistry Week including demonstrations at the Boston Children's Museum and the Museum of Science. There members performed demonstrations for kids with the theme of �Nanotechnology: The Smallest BIG Idea in Science!� Those events were fruitful because the children were given an insight about the wonders of chemistry. We also hosted local middle schools students through our connection with the Upward Bound Program; we performed science experiments with them and gave students an insight into college life. We experienced a significant increase in the number of active chapter members. The disciplines represented by our members diversified as well by the recruitment of new members from other majors, including biology and psychology. The chapter worked in recruiting new members at the Temple Street Fair, at the Campus Crawl and by outreaching to new students at the university. An interaction with chemists, biologists and other scientists could be accomplished through our attendance of NESACS local meetings.  The success and dedication of our chapter could not have been accomplished without the help of our advisors, members, co-workers, friends and acquaintances.
