The local chapter of the American Chemical Society at Angelo State University is devoted to the promotion of green chemistry to ASU students and to the community. The organization sponsored a campus lecture on environmentally friendly catalysts. We performed demonstrations and brought green chemistry awareness to the cityby participating in the annual Eco Fair at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts and Community Day at Sunset Mall. In our Magic Shows and other outreach events, we include green chemistry demonstrations and use environmentally friendly reagents.
