The Student Affiliate Chapter at Georgia Southern University is thriving through excellence in academia, service, and educational projects. This year our organization focused on the professional development and outreach through events such as our annual Mole Day festival, participating in Bulloch County's Relay for Life, and having faculty talk with our members. The chapter has performed several outreach programs including after school programs through which children are educated and inspired by the world of chemistry. The chapter also encourages community involvement through participation in local charities, fundraisers, and Mole Day. This year, our chapter's main philanthropic endeavor was raising money for Relay for Life through the sale of our famous, delicious liquid nitrogen Dip n' Dots and Chemistry Cookies. The student affiliates at Georgia Southern are active, enthusiastic and eager to improve their community, themselves, and advance the science of chemistry.
