Saint Mary's Chapter of the American Chemical Society is dedicated to the education of the students of Saint Mary's College and to the local community. We encourage all those who enjoy chemistry to become involved in our organization. This chapter organizes fundraisers to finance all of the other events that the club will sponsor throughout the year. Career development in the field of chemistry is also encouraged through speakers such as those invited to Alumni Weekend and those heard at conferences. Community outreach is stressed. Members encourage the development of the scientific method through judging science fair and inspire children to pursue chemistry through a Halloween magic show. Saint Mary's Chapter of the American Chemical Society works towards building a scientific community within Saint Mary's College and the surrounding area.
