The Students Chemists Association (SCA) at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) is an organization for undergraduates from all areas of academia who share a love for all things related to chemistry. This past year, SCA has funded �Happy Hour� events at TCNJ to foster a community in the department to build relationships between the freshman and upperclassmen and faculty. SCA members also conducted chemistry experiments at the Ewing Township �Community Fest�, an event that brings together the local and TCNJ communities. Fun and innovative events, such as a Cyanotype demonstration and Periodic Table Scrabble, were also held during National Chemistry Week to make the campus aware about chemistry. Field trip events to the Liberty Science Center, the Crayola Factory, and the Chemical Heritage Foundation Museum were held in collaboration with other local ACS Student Chapters to increase inter-chapter relations. Members of the TCNJ SCA volunteer at middle and elementary school science competitions. Additionally, students from the SCA chapter participated in the production of the �Molecule Magic� touch table at the Liberty Science Center. The club also hosts student-faculty department dinners and game/movie nights every few weeks. SCA provides their members with creative and fun outlets for socializing and volunteering in a relaxed environment and enhances the quality of life for students campus-wide.
