The Wilkes University ACS student chapter engages the community in a multitude of events. This student chapter helps to propagate an interest in chemistry in young minds by performing chemistry demonstrations for local elementary and middle school students. This student chapter also helps to empower young women in learning about science and chemistry by guiding them while they perform hands on experiments. High school students are invited to Wilkes University for PreMed Day where they perform experiments related to the medical field. Members of this student chapter also participate in annual lectures, open house events, and majors and minors fairs that are organized by the chemistry department.
