This talk will contain our recent results involving the synthesis and biology of small molecule modulators of quorum sensing pathways. Quorum sensing is important for the virulence and physiological state of many pathogenic bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which synthesizes N-acyl homoserine lactone and quinolone signaling molecules (Figure 1).[1],[2] Figure 1.
