Cardiovascular disease, blindness and cancer are some health problems that are triggered by diabetes. In managing diabetes, the control of glucose level in blood should be continuously. Electrochemistry, optical rotation, near infrared spectroscopy, fluorescence and colorimetric spectroscopy are some glucose sensing methods in the literature. One pot emulsion polymerization technique is successfully applied to form stable and ultrafine nanoparticles with particle size range 50-500 nm without any surfactant. Hydroxyl (-OH) groups in boronic acid derivatives can bind to diols by a reversible reaction to form boronate esters depending on the pH of the medium. In this work, we analyzed a copolymeric nanoparticle of phenyl boronic acid without any surfactant required in a single step.  Alizarin red S was easily bonded to boronic acid nanoparticles which is a good indicator for fructose sensing. The binding capacity of fructose to nanosensor was studied in detail. Color change of alizarin red-nanoparticle is a well-defined proof of fructose presence.
