Polyester amines were synthesized employing the interfacial polycondensation technique.  They were tested for their ability to inhibit the growth of a number of cancer cell lines including prostate, colon, breast (two cell lines) and pancreatic (two cell lines) cancer cell lines.  All of the polymers show ability to inhibit several of the cancer cell lines.  Some of the EC50 values are near or less than that found for cisplatin.  In particular, inhibition of the 7259 breast cancer cell line by the arsenic polymer is outstanding and merits further study. The arsenic and antimony polymers show good inhibition of the PANC-1 pancreatic cell line and the bismuth polymer the AsPC-1 pancreatic cell line.
