A summary of new synthetic methods developed in the Dolbier group related to incorporation of the -CF2H or�CF2- groups into organic molecules will be reported. These will include new results on the use of fluoroform as a CF2 building block to prepare N-CF2H compounds, as well as the use of Et3N-3HF as an effective exchange reagent for conversion of 1,1-bistriflates to 1,1-difluoroalkanes.
