The speed and efficiency of UHPLC analyses make it an attractive tool in a lead product development environment.  Ability to separate and quantify a large number of active ingredients in a single analysis provides both a starting point for formulation method development and a screening tool for contamination, carryover and counterfeit studies.  However, ultra high pressure instrumentation is not readily available within all R&D and QC labs across a given company.  In order to gain full benefit of UHPLC methods developed in an R&D environment, the resulting analyses must be successfully transferable to HPLC systems.This work demonstrates the development of high throughput, UHPLC methods for analysis of 10-20 agricultural active ingredients and transfer of these methods to HPLC systems using Agilent iSet software.  Comparison of assay values, chromatographic efficiency, and retention times (actual and predicted) are provided.
