The National Science Foundation's Division of Undergraduate Education (NSF's DUE) supports projects that are, in the aggregate, a comprehensive approach to strengthening STEM undergraduate education at two- and four-year colleges and universities. DUE programs support research-based and research-generating approaches to understanding STEM learning; increasing student retention in STEM majors; designing, testing, and studying curricular and instructional change; wide dissemination and implementation of best practices; broadening participation of individuals and institutions in STEM fields; and preparing highly-qualified individuals for the STEM workforce. In this presentation we will highlight current NSF programs that support undergraduate chemistry education, including Improving Undergraduate STEM Education (IUSE), Advanced Technological Education (ATE), Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM), Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship, and the Education and Human Resources Directorate-wide Core Research (ECR) program.
