Dissolution testing is one of the primary analyses performed on drug products.  Tablets or capsules have designated target times for complete dissolution following the United States Pharmacopeia.  Graduates with degrees in chemistry may find themselves performing such tests without any prior knowledge.  Kennesaw State University offers students the opportunity to conduct dissolution testing through an upper level laboratory course. This topic will be discussed to encourage more faculty to teach about dissolution testing.
