Plasmonic sensors are of particular interest to probe molecular species adsorbed on their surface, enhancing the sensitivity of spectroscopic measurements through the excitation of a localized surface plasmon. Advanced nano and microfabrication methods are keys to the development of such sensors allowing one to tailor optical fields at the subwavelength scale, hence optimizing excitation conditions to detect low concentration of analytes. Herein, a device has been developed based on a surface-modified micropatterning technique coupled with the arrays of plasmonic sensors with the goal to locate the analyte in a defined position onto the plasmonic sensor with the goal to perform surface enhanced measurements.
