Novel methods for copper-catalyzed trifluoromethylation reactions of alkenes using Togni-reagent were developed. These reactions are accelerated by B2pin2 or  bulky phosphines  as additives. Styrenes undergo cyano-trifluoromethylation reaction1 using coppercyanide both as catalyst and cyanide source. C-H trifluoromethylation occurred selectively for benzoquinone derivatives2. 1.
