Quantitative analyses of samples from ten organically-grown fruits and vegetables were conducted. Each raw sample was analyzed for iron, chromium, manganese, vitamin C, nitrates, sulfates, glucose, and total acidity using a variety of gravimetric, titrimetric, and spectrophotometric techniques. Comparisons to analyses of the same ten fruits and vegetables grown in non-organic conditions were made. Nutritional advantages and disadvantages of consumption of organically-grown fruits and vegetables based upon our studies and previous research will be discussed.
