A new trend observed recently in the field of synthesis of nanomaterials is the search for unconventional procedures that will offer the preparation of materials with special properties [1]. Considering that a new green route in the synthesis of photo-active catalyst has been proposed. Therefore, in situ combination of sonication with photodeposition has been applied with the aim to obtain metal loaded photocatalytic materials [2]. Herein, the benefits coming form the photochemical process together with the physicochemical phenomenon called cavitation are exploited.According to this method, called as sonophotodeposition, a commercially available TiO2 has been doped with palladium nanoparticles [3]. Different palladium content has been introduced (0.5, 1.0, 2.0 wt. %) and all samples were subsequently characterized by different techniques, such as: XRD, DR UV-Vis, N2 physisorption, XPS, HRTEM. The photocatalytic activity has been checked in the gas phase methanol total oxidation (in the context of air decontamination from Volatile Organic Compounds, VOCs). Sonophotodeposition method, proved to be a successful, simple and green tool in the synthesis of monometallic supported nanoparticles with photocatalytic properties. References: [1] J.C.
