The first examples of the hybrid complexes of a phthalocyanines with clathrochelates were described recently.1-3 New iron (II) mono- (3a,b  ) and bisporphyrinatoclathrohelates (4a,b  ) were prepared by transmetallation reaction of triethylantimony-capped- (2a  ) or bis(triethylantimony-capped) clathrochelate iron (II) tris-nioximate precursor (2b  ) with zirconium (IV)- (1a  ) or hafnium (IV) complexes of the meso-tertraphenylporphyrin (1b  ) (Scheme 1). The target compounds were characterized by UV-Vis, MCD and NMR spectra, as well as X-ray crystallography. The redox properties of new hybrid complexes were studied by electrochemical and spectroelectrochemial methods.
