Introduction Recently, metal-air battery regarded as Next-Generation battery because of its higher energy density, safety than commercial Li-ion battery. However, current metal-air batteries have rechargeable problem due to sluggish rate of oxygen reduction and evolution. Therefore, to improve rechargeable metal-air battery performance, oxygen electrochemistry is the key reaction in battery chemistry. Metal oxide containing carbon-supported materials have been reported to possible candidates for bi-functional electrocatalysts, but these catalysts show lower ORR activity compare to Non-precious metal catalysts. Experimental  Desired catalysts are synthesized with simple one-step process with high temperature heat treatment. The highly crystalline carbon sheets are formed by add iron precursor which also can act as precursor for metal alloy during heat process. Due to crystallinity of carbon sheets, desired catalysts could show promoted activity regardless of carbon corrosion problem in the air electrode. Results and Discussion Composite of copper-iron alloy-carbon sheet as a bi-functional oxygen electrocatalyst for rechargeable metal-zir battery especially Zn-air battery with promoted bi-functional catalytic activity than Pt catalysts combined with Vulcan carbon. With low overpotential during rechargeable test in Zn-air battery, these electrocatalysts could be possible candidate for Bi-functional electrocatalyst for Metal-air batteries.
