Imbedment of cobalt particles into zeolite crystal was developed using conventional Co/SiO2 as precursor of zeolite via simple hydrothermal method. The obtained cobalt-imbedded zeolite catalyst with imbedded structure and confined reaction environment showed a remarkable catalytic performance for direct formation of gasoline-range hydrocarbons in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. The selectivity of gasoline-range hydrocarbons reached up to 71.6 % with a Ciso/Cn ratio of 2.89 and a C=/Cn of 0.28 at a CO conversion of 77.3 %, meanwhile a very stable behavior was observed. The catalyst was characterized by a variety of techniques including XRD, SEM and TEM, et al.
