Inter Partes Review (IPR) is a new procedure at the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for challenging the validity of issued patents based on prior art. This poster will outline how this procedure works and when it can be employed. Also discussed will be techniques for existing patent holders to defend from IPR challenges.
