Based on the computer-aid drug design and the bioactivity of candidates, the pyridazinone scaffold was selected as the starting point for the discovery of novel plant activators. The bioassay results showed that this series of compounds had excellent resistance to the tested pathogens. The most effective candidate among them can resist infection by four pathogens effectively, with the efficacy of the inhibition over 50?. Subsititution on position 4 of the benzene ring with an electron withdrawing group was helpful for efficacy, and the effect of di-substitution on positions 3 and 5 of benzene was to improve activity. In-vitro assay results showed that the new compounds were not antibacterial, which implied that the novel compounds have potential as novel plant activators.
