The crystallization kinetics and morphology of copolyester Poly (1, 4-cyclohexanedimethyl isosorbide terephthalate) (PICT) was studied. Among the samples of PICT, ISB content of 5 mole % and 12 mole % showed crystallinity. Tg was increased with increasing content of ISB where Tm decreased referring that ISB affect the crystal structure of polyester as a defect. Using DSC, relative crystallinity was studied showing the retardation of crystallization rate with increasing content of ISB. Due to structural disadvantage of ISB it is believed to be rejected during crystallization but according to the decrease in crystallinity and new peak at WAXD profile ISB is believe to participate in initial stage of crystallization.
