While work has been done in other fields (primarily psychology) investigating self perception of knowledge, limited work in this area has been done in chemistry. This research examines self-reported data in chemistry courses at all levels (from Spring 2013 through Spring 2014) to examine if the Kruger-Dunning effect is present in chemistry courses at all levels.  This study seeks to examine whether there is a difference between the levels of chemistry courses, the types of chemistry courses, and the types of students in the courses (i.e. courses for non-science majors, courses for science majors, courses for chemistry majors, etc...).
