Great attention in anode material has emerged as one of the key factors in electrochemically generating oxidants, demand of which have been dramatically increased in industrial electrochemistry. Since the discovery of dimensional stable anode (DSA�) and boron-doped diamond (BDD) electrodes, intense effort to develop anode material for last five decades has led to the great innovated leaps with scientific and technological successes in industrial electrochemistry. Nevertheless, the remarkable growth in this industry has been limited due to the high cost and complicated process in manufacturing of these anode materials, representing world-wide used DSA� and BDD electrode. Here, we report a simply fabricated and cost-effective TiO2 based anode material for oxidants generation. This novel anode material was simply fabricated by cathodic polarization of TiO2 nanotube array (NTA) leading to electrochromism with dark blue coloration (denoted as Blue TiO2 NTA) . The Blue TiO2 NTA possessed not only high conductivity, but also excellent electrocatalytic activity in oxidants generation. This material can generate hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), Ozone, hydroxyl radical (�OH) and chlorine as much as world-wide used DSA� and BDD electrode. Thus, the results of this study suggest that this material can provide new opportunity as the innovative technology in industrial electrochemistry.
