The coordinative and redox flexibility of organosilicon ligands makes them ideal partners for late transition metals in potential cooperative applications. Here I will present recent findings from our research group on the utility of silylamides as nitrene-group and nitrogen-atom delivery agents as well as cooperative processes occurring at late-metal silyl and silylene complexes supported by rigid pincer-type ligands.<br/>
