Thermolysis of Cp*W(NO)(CH2CMe3)(η3-CH2CHCHPh) at 55 ˚C leads to the loss of neopentane and the formation of the established 16e η2-allene intermediate complex, Cp*W(NO)(η2-CH2=C=CHPh).1 The work presented here shows the reactivity of a variety of alkyl tungsten and heteroatom-containing alkyl tungsten complexes. Using CO under pressure, these complexes undergo CO insertion into the W-C bond producing a tungsten acyl moiety, which can undergo subsequent chemistry. (1) Baillie, R. A.; Man, R. W. Y.; Shree, M.
