Riboflavin binding protein (RBP) has been recently reported to bind copper in vitro.  The exchange of copper between common egg proteins previously determined to bind copper in vivo, phosvitin and its precursor vitellogenin, is examined via FPLC, Atomic Absorption spectroscopy and isothermal titration calorimetry.
