First developed as 96-well plate mix-and-measure assay, DETECHIP<sup>®</sup> utilizes colorimetric and fluorometric signals to identify of target analytes including scheduled drugs-of-abuse, over-the-counter medications, and explosives. Commercially available inkjet printers were evaluated for use in producing tailored DETECHIP<sup>® </sup>arrays on various solid supports (nylon membranes, transparency film, TLC plates, etc.) using a diverse set of sensing compounds and a carefully formulated printing solution. Arrays were evaluated using standard image software for red-green-blue (RGB) image analysis.
