The synthesis of the new hybrid donor/acceptor PCP pincer ligand 1,3-C6H4(CH2P(tBu)(Rf) (Rf = CF3, C2F5) is reported. Synthesis of Ir(III), Ir(I), and Ru(II) complexes and a survey of catalytic hydrocarbon dehydrogenation will be presented.
