A series of heterobimetallic Co-M complexes that combines Co with Ti, V or Cr has been synthesized and shown to exhibit multiple bonds between the metals. These complexes have been isolated in multiple redox states, allowing for a comparative study of electronic structure and reactivity as the supporting metal is varied. Preliminary reactivity studies of the one electron reduced complexes have shown them to bind dinitrogen at the Co center. Studies to activate and cleave the N-N bond are in progress.  <br/>
