In Suzuki type cross-coupling reaction, potassium organotrifluoroborates are very active boron components with organic halides for C-C bond formation reactions. The direct activation of methyne proton of alkynes, alkanes and use them with potassium organotrifluoroborates will lead to the same valuable goals while avoiding the presence of halides, triflates, nonaflates, acetates, tosylates, etc. in the starting material. The development of this new reaction process and its mechanism will be discussed.
