Nanoparticles of CZTSxSe(1-X) were synthesized by a robust one pot solution based synthesis from cheap and non-toxic precursors and solvents. Thin films were deposited by mechanically dipping the substrate in the suspended nanoparticle solution and consequently exchanging the surface ligands with S2- via dipping in an ammonium sulfide solution. The effects of the sulfide exchange on the carrier mobility, carrier concentration, and conductivity were studied as a function of composition via the four point Hall probe method. Sulfide exchange dramatically improves the properties of the films and may have a significant effect on the resulting photovoltaic properties.
