Indium-tin oxide nanomaterials with different tin oxide content have been synthesized via epoxide-addition method. The gels were dried via low-temperature supercritical extraction to form three-dimensional monolithic aerogels. In order to tune the conductivity, the gels were annealed under either oxidizing or reducing atmospheres at different temperatures to modify the crystallite size and composition. It’s been shown that the conductivity of the nanoparticles is dependent on the Sn concentration, the annealing temperature and atmosphere. These aerogel materials were characterized by PXRD, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and physisorption.
