The recent surge in interest for effective anti-fibrotic therapy is well justified due to the inadequacy of existing treatments. This discussion will focus on the optimization of JNK inhibitors for the treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis leading to the discovery of CC-930. Lead optimization strategies and pharmacology of this program will be discussed in detail.
