A person’s lifetime is a series of interactions, encounters, and events.  And, while an individual is moving through life, trying to stay ahead of the day-to-day challenges of meeting the requirements of family and the job, that person may not think much about a small action or word of encouragement given to a colleague, student, friend, or acquaintance. They may suggest or say something during a presentation or in conversation that hits an unknown cord with someone listening.  But, over time, these are the actions that have a great impact on a person’s legacy.  These actions come out in many ways, and usually unknown to the individual performing the action.  They don’t usually get the chance to see the result of that one comment on a day when everything seemed to be falling apart, or that one suggestion that they might look into this program, or that one “you know you might try…”  Such, is the true legacy of Ann E. Nalley.
