Targeting the specific cells with therapeutics has been the Holy Grail of cancer research. Even thou the principles of targeted drug delivery have been known for over 40 years, their application proved to be very challenging. There are the success stories, but many of the available molecular targets are not unique enough to relay on them in the delivery scheme. Here we present<i> in vitro</i> feasibility studies of delivery into targeted cluster of cells. The differentiating factor between the cells is temperature. The delivery is accomplished via carrier that is designed to reversibly fold depending on temperature and internalization is possible only when folded. The carrier is a short peptide that combines two domains: cell penetrating domain and collagen peptide domain to combine cellular uptake with folding properties. The proposed delivery scheme is studied with circular dichroism spectroscopy, confocal microscopy and flow cytometry.
