The synergetic coupling of graphene and metal oxide nanosheets along with metal nanoparticles have attracted much attention in energy storage, optoelectronic and nanobiotechnology applications. There are very few reports of incorporating organic molecules to these graphene coupled metal oxide nanomaterials and their optoelectronic and device applications. In this report we will discuss the synthesis and characterization of hybrid materials consisting of graphene oxide coupled metal oxide nanosheets with small organic molecules to yield both n-type and p-type field effective transistors (FETs).
