In the past few years, perovskite solar cells have emerged as one of the most exciting photovoltaic technology. In this talk, I will summarize recent progresses of perovskite solar cells at UCLA, which covers the following topics:<br/>High performance perovskite solar cell via interface engineering: By carefully controlling the interface and defect engineering, we were able to reached high performance device (~19.3%) in a planar perovskite device structure.<br/>Inverted device structure: We have demonstrated an inverted-structure of perovskite solar cells using organic transport layer shown flexibility and high efficiency.<br/>Dopant-free hole transport (HTL) layer: Recently, we demonstrated solution processed un-doped conjugated molecule HTL resulting in an impressive PCE of ~14.9 %.<br/>Monolithic integration of organic film with perovskie device: Recently, we have integrated perovskite and organic bulk heterojunction (BHJ) photovoltaic device by employing organic BHJ films as the HTL layer for both hole charge transport and additional light harvestingfunctions. Furthermore, two-terminal tandem device architecture has also been demonstrated based on perovskite (for visible light) and polymer BHJ (for infrared light) sub-cells.
