Thieme has been a chemistry publisher since 1909. We publish scientific information in various formats: journals, reference works, encyclopaedia, monographs and textbooks. Together with InfoChem GmbH, a software company focusing on the production and marketing of new products for chemical information advanced solutions have been developed to handle, store and retrieve chemical structures and reactions.<br/><br/><br/>In our talk we present the motivation behind the development of these resources and a vision on how they can be used by others. We will highlight for reference works, journals and encyclopaedias’ how a combination of semantic technologies, advanced text, structure and data representation in combination with sophisticated search technologies lead to a greatly enhanced user experience and discoverability.
