Double-stranded inclusion behavior between gamma-cyclodextrin (γ-CD) and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) was studied, and the result was compared with single-stranded inclusion behavior between alpha-cyclodextrin (α-CD) and PEG. It is found that temperature greatly affected the inclusion behavior. PEG-4000 with α-CD and PEG-20,000 with γ-CD exhibited the change of regulated step of the whole inclusion process with the rise of temperature. Sonication was found to be able to destroy the inclusion complexes due to breaking the hydrogen bonding between CDs as investigated by <sup>1</sup>H-NMR.
